Day 7

shermanpass.JPG

Miles = 46

Republic, WA to Kettle Falls, WA

Weather = cool and windy in the high 60s/low 70s

Got our 2nd mail drop today. Finally more food!!! (We’ve been trying to pace ourselves while really wanting to devour all of our food at once.)

It was another steep climb over Sherman Pass, over 5,000 feet. Tonight we stayed in a town park; our tent was set up in a gazebo-like pavilion right smack-in-the-middle of a baseball field, playground, and tennis court. John enjoyed watching the cheerleaders practice.

We met a couple celebrating their 35th anniversary today. They’ve spent three months out of EVERY year for the past 7 years going on cycling adventures. They were on their 75th day on the road from a trip from FL to British Columbia, Canada, where they live.
