Day 1
Miles = 4000 by plane
We flew from Philadelphia to Chicago-Midway, and then from there to Sea-Tac in Washington. Jonathan’s first flight ever! He has a new nickname, “Whatif”, because he kept saying “What if…..the wing falls off. What if….the engine stops midair, etc. By the second flight he was fine.
Weather-Cool- low of 40; high of 61
Arrived a 7:15pm Pacific Time (which was 10:15 Eastern). Packed and put together bikes until 10:15 (1:15 Eastern). We’re missing a bolt on Matt’s bike. His seat now doesn’t stay up where he needs it and it swerves side to side.
What a sketchy hotel! The people above us were running a marathon, I’m sure. They also must’ve been picking stuff up and dropping it on the floor, and picking stuff up and dropping it again…over and over! We also cultured ourselves by listening through the windows on several conversations in various languages at all hours of the night.
